Health Director

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Health Director to lead the development of a strategy for Public Health and build-out of a market segment/practice area connecting federal agencies, such as NIH, CDC, SAMHSA, and related State/Local/Non-profit/Commercial organizations. The individual will oversee all aspects of strategy/road-map development and execution including pipeline management, capture and proposal development and program delivery (start-up and execution). The leader in this role will attract, retain and grow talent with healthcare subject matter expertise at CVP and lead/contribute to relevant growth opportunities within current customer environments such as HHS, CMS, VA and DHA.
    Major Areas of Responsibility:
    • Demonstrate strong subject matter knowledge, new business development skills and program management expertise
    • Jump-start a Public Health practice at CVP
    • Provide oversight and direction to multiple Public Health programs/projects, including customer relationship management and oversight for program delivery (cost/schedule/technical/quality/risk management) 
    • Build and shape a pipeline of new opportunities targeted at leveraging CVP's core competencies into the Public Health market and drive development/deployment of innovative/customized solutions to meet specific client needs
    • Must be eligible to obtain a government security clearance
    • Minimum of a Master's Degree
    • 12 years of progressive experience building new business and delivering technology enabled solutions (information technology design, implementation, program operations and support through the full system development life cycle) in the Public Health domain
    • Strong customer relationship management and persuasive skills to new business/capture management efforts
    • Strong subject matter expertise in public health and/or clinical domains with customer and industry relationships to leverage for pipeline building and opportunity qualification/pursuit
    • Proven expertise with oversight and management of multiple project teams with varied sizes ranging between 10-100 FTEs
    • Experience with successful program start-up and close-out activities
    • Knowledge of and experience with multiple contract types in a government setting including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus and T&M contracts including EVM
    • Technical background in information and data architectures, systems/software development methodologies, life-cycle management, information privacy protection and emerging health/technology trends
    • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain excellent customer relationships and advocacy including executive level consensus building
    • Proven experience with executing and delivering on high visibility programs/projects with significant business and technical constraints including complex organizational change and stakeholder management issues
    • Highly experienced in subcontractor management and negotiation skills including various types of flow-downs and managing through accountability
    • Staffing and resource allocation to projects ensuring timely and high quality delivery to customers
    • Experience with capture management and proposal development activities
    • Knowledge of Agile Principles and Methodologies and application to technical execution and oversight of projects 
    • Knowledge and experience with CMMI including continuous improvement initiatives on project and operational processes
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, executive presence
