Subject Matter Expert – Defense Medical Logistics

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Subject Matter Expert – Defense Medical Logistics to provide subject matter expertise to the DML Enterprise on topics, including (but not limited to) business integration and data management.

    Major Areas of Responsibility
    • Provide senior-level DOD Medical Logistics expertise, to include DOD acquisition management, program management, business process reengineering, capability development, master data management, strategic planning, change management, leadership, and governance, to support overarching DHA goals of Better Care, Better Health, Lower Cost, and Increased Readiness
    • Apply subject matter expertise to help achieve coordinated advances in medical logistics IT development synchronized with Business Process Integration and Governance
    • Leverage innovative strategies to meld MHS, Federal and Commercial Data sources and business processes to overcome long-standing data quality issues
    • Improve product sourcing and standardization, MHS GENESIS integration, and operational readiness
    • Provide military medical logistics subject matter expertise to the DML IT systems to assist the SDD Medical Logistics Division (MLD) in: business process reengineering, development of capability initiatives to close business process gaps, and optimized IT performance as a business process enabler and integrator
    • Apply understanding of medical logistics and the Military Health System/Defense Medical Logistics Enterprise (DMLE) to develop effective strategies to align integrated business processes with integrated MEDLOG IT solutions
    • Identify and integrate authoritative data sources within the DOD, VA and Federal arenas that support the DMLE business process needs and IT solution(s)
    • Work with DLA Troop Support Medical Directorate and DMLE and stakeholders to identify and codify roles and responsibilities for the management of medical logistics data, to include Master Data Management
    • Seek innovative commercial partnerships to bring the benefits of commercial data/processes to the DOD and realize break-thru level advances in medical logistics enterprise data authority and management
    • Support efforts that foster the validation and consolidation of myriad authoritative data for reuse and exchange
    • Employ communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills to build relationships with clinicians, logisticians, and stakeholders across federal, private, and academic sectors
    • Work with various stakeholders to support the development of enterprise governance, standards management and business process reengineering
    • Support the definition and establishment of policies, procedures and data/technical standards to maintain the uniformity of business process/technology initiatives
    • Provide guidance for policy and practice development using knowledge and experience with Defense Medical Logistics, Veterans Affairs supply chain, Agile Development and ITIL
    • Ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance
    • Previous experience in operational medical logistics management, medical treatment facility logistics management, DOD Acquisition program management, and information technology
    • Previous experience leading various aspects of the Military Medical Logistics/Defense Medical Logistics Enterprise (DMLE)
    • Certified in IT Project Management
    • Bachelor’s degree or several years of experience working in or leading various aspects of the Military Medical Logistics/Defense Medical Logistics Enterprise (DMLE)
