DT&E Specialist

    CVP is seeking a highly talented DT&E Specialist to provide executive strategic and operations support to SDD PEO, SDD Clinical Support PMO, SDD CBIS and SDD Chief Engineer (Program Support Branch). The professional in this role shall provide expertise on all test and evaluation areas for SDD systems development and operational test and evaluation, and interoperability certification activities.



    Major Areas of Responsibility
    • Responsible for high-profile projects with direct impact on core operations and processes
    • Serve as strategic advisor and key senior aide to executive leadership
    • Direct, coordinate and facilitate the implementation and management of key strategic initiatives frequently involving other executive officers and/or outside agencies
    • Oversee the development of processes or procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with government officers to resolve functional or technical work problems not covered by procedures or policies to support matters that may affect operations
    • Lead innovative changes addressing process gaps and ensuring critical processes are back on track
    • Gather, investigate research, analyze, and act on information affecting intradepartmental or interdepartmental operations
    • Participate with executive leadership in institutional planning, policy development and problem resolution
    • Ensure strategic alignment with PMO and SDD wide issues
    • Serve as SDD representative on requested meetings and forums (such as SDD Engineering Control Board)
    • Prepare briefs and technical reports for government officers
    • Develop reports for inquiries from internal or external sources to represent accurate status of initiative progress
    • Collaborate with and act as a confidential sounding board to executive leadership in developing strategies and systems to improve the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness of a broad range of services and operations
    • Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to the SDD's strategic directions and plans, and relevant state-of-the-art systems and technology
    • Support communications with other program offices and agencies in which external testing logistics are required
    • Provide executive level subject matter expertise for evaluating the successes of proposed and actual software testing activities for reducing and managing risk for Clinical systems
    • Deliver periodic status briefings to SDD Clinical Support PMO, SDD PEO, SDD CBIS and SDD Chief Engineer (Program Support Branch) to address planned testing activities, itemize programmatic risks and associated risk mitigations, and compliance with organizational testing, audit, and configuration management policy requirements
    • Complete any requested assessments of impacts for external testing policy changes for SDD Clinical Support PMO, SDD PEO, SDD CBIS and SDD Chief Engineer (Program Support Branch)
    • Identify potential innovations in testing approach and technological tools that could optimize software development and sustainment activities without increasing risk exposure for deployed systems


    Requirements
    • Ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance
    • Previous experience with one or more of the following: SDD PEO, SDD Clinical Support PMO, SDD CBIS, and SDD Chief Engineer (Program Support Branch)
    • Strategic thinker
