    Customer Value Partners (CVP), a strategic business and technology services firm, is seeking a highly talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.  The professional in this role will use software development expertise to implement Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutions.


    Major Areas of Responsibility
     
    • Implementing innovative and cost effective technical solutions
    • Designing approaches that optimize DevOps across customer needs, business constraints, and technical realities
    • Support the development of technical roadmaps for future implementation
    • Perform advanced systems analysis and design to ensure the soundness of the solution
    • Design and develop solution and Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on-going operations
    • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AOAs) regarding proposed technical solutions
    • Lead technical solution development
    • Support the development of reusable solutions for software intensive work efforts
    • Lead and mentor junior resources to engineer and construct DevOps solutions, including deployment pipelines, and CICD toolkits
    • Lead teams in the organization to define supporting infrastructure and software tools needed to enable DevOps practices in a large-scale environment
    • Learn and analyze new technologies and industry best practices to identify suitability for adoption by the organization
    • Contribute to the design of software and infrastructure to ensure projects meet goals for security, scalability, maintainability, availability, and resiliency
    • Drive a quality mindset within the team
     

    Position Requirements
     
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Ideal candidates will have a master's degree
    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • Expert knowledge of CI/CD principles and technologies such as Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
    • Experience with container technology such as Docker
    • Experience utilizing automated testing tools such as Selenium
    • Experience migrating and securing web based applications in a cloud environment
    • Fluent with agile software development best practices such as Sprints and Scrums
    • In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from business and technical viewpoints
    • Certifications in AWS highly preferred
    • Experience in applying DevOps concepts and practice in any Federal agency
    • Knowledge and experience in applying systems security standards into DevOps practice  (e.g. NIST RMF, HIPAA compliance, FISMA, etc) Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
    • Expert knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques, along with knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment
