    CVP is seeking a highly talented Java Developer. CVP supports our Navy client in operating, maintaining, and enhancing the Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS). Our team assures that this mission-critical transportation system remains highly functioning, available, and accurate for the Navy's shipping needs.

    The professional in this role will make a significant impact as a member of the software development staff for the FACTS PMO at the Naval Base in Norfolk, Virginia. Software development tools used are NetBeans, CA-Gen 8.5, DISA CSD OOB and DISA Multi-Host Mainframe, TSO, FTP Client, and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, DB2, JSON, GIT (or subset of these tools).

    Major Areas of Responsibility
    • Review, analyze and recommend changes for new and existing application modules in terms of how to make FACTS better, quicker and user friendly
    • Develop client screens, analyze and develop requirements, develop storyboards, and conduct unit and regression tests
    • Work on Program Change Requests (PCR), Program Trouble Reports (PTR) as needed for functional requirement changes in our development and production environments
    • Schedule design reviews, requirement reviews with the client and Program Management Office, and peer reviews with developers
    • Participate in the weekly agile meetings
    • Coordinate and document functional / technical requirements with End-Users and development staff
    • Work closely with users to understand workflows
    • Conduct ERD / Modeling meetings with development staff
    • Conduct Requirements, Mapping and Unit Test Peer Review meetings
    • Develop and Unit Test Cool Gen and Online modules
    • Develop and Unit Test Front-End GUI Interface/Screens using Java 7 supporting a Freight Management system
    • Work with test lead to identify best test automation solution and work with team to implement

    • Must have an Active Secret government security clearance
    • 3 years of previous experience with Java, JSP, Netbeans and SQL developer
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Exemplary communication skills, verbal and written
    • Strong ability to maintain a positive working relationship with government staff and program/project managers
    • Strong values, particularly in being collaborative and professional in interactions with colleagues, partners, clients and their customers
    • Integrity and dedication to moving operations forward
    • Self-starter and solid independent performance operating remotely from CVP headquarters while still maintaining strong lines of communication with CVP leaders
    • Experience with Struts and Action Classes are a plus
