Business Process Consultant

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Business Process Consultant to provide program management support services for the EBMS and direct support to the EBMS Project Manager(s).

    Major Areas of Responsibility
    • Oversee and coordinate activities related to project upgrade, system maintenance and sustainment of EBMS systems
    • Prepare project documentation, briefs, conference presentations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), fact sheets, tasker responses, white papers, plans, bulletins, briefings and technical reports to present findings and customize as needed for client and senior executive leadership within the MHS
    • Oversee the sustainment vendor’s activities to ensure work performed is directly aligned with established requirements and customer needs (i.e. Tier III support, training delivery, contract deliverables (CDRLS), system configuration/updates, etc.)
    • Monitor project action items, schedule and oversee risk management (i.e. identifying, capturing, mitigating and reporting risks)
    • Provide analysis and recommendations to the EBMS Project Manager(s) regarding interpretation and clarification of functional requirements and stakeholder requests
    • Assist with overall management of the medical device, monitor project milestones and critical activities to support sustainment, upgrade and adapt to any new requirements identified by stakeholders
    • Manage and facilitate meetings to support program efforts and communicate project status with key stakeholders
    • Engage with senior-level military and civilian personnel, subject matter experts, and key program stakeholders to provide information and briefing reports and possibly manage or facilitate meetings, working group sessions, and strategic action groups
    • Manage configuration management activities, including change packages and Promotion to the Field Notifications (PTTFN); Provide recommendations and best-practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures
    • Apply understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) to support program-wide configuration management strategy and execution for EBMS. Develop and maintain program configuration management plan detailing processes and procedures for managing the program’s diverse configuration items including complex hardware, software, and documentation
    • Work with the Project Manager, Network and Security Engineers, Sustainment Vendor, System Administrators, and Database Administrators to manage system configuration, adhere to DHA Change Control Board (CCB) processes,  participate in CCB meetings and align and apply solutions that improve the service delivery to the customer
    • Other duties related to the EBMS Program Management
     
    Position Requirements
     
    • Bachelor’s Degree; OR 7+ years DHA experience and/or direct experience with EBMS Operations
    • Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust government security clearance
    • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Program Management (PM) coursework completion
    • Experience as a Business/Management Analyst on Health Information Technology (HIT) projects
    • Strong verbal/written communication and facilitation skills
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and systems architecture
    • 5 years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology (IT) with at least six 3 years focused on interpreting and applying policies and procedures based on ITIL and ITSM best practices (software configuration management and related techniques and tools)
     
    Desired Skills
     
    • Experience in DHA, DoD and/or MHS
    • Experience with EBMS system functionality, blood management operations and configuration management (CM)  
    • Experience working with MHS Clinical Information Systems (CIS)
    • Strong business acumen, detailed and task-oriented with superior communication and customer service skills
    • Experience gathering customer requirements and process documentation experience
    • Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and Access)
    • Experience working multiple projects concurrently within competing deadlines while ensuring that complex information is conveyed in a clear, accurate, and concise manner under normal and in critical situations
