Senior Performance Engineer

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Senior Performance Engineer to own performance testing and determine steps necessary to conduct testing within a very agile independent test team.
    Position Responsibilities
    • Identify key business scenarios for multiple applications based on conversations with both internal and external team members and demos of the application (formal documentation will be limited)
    • Write Jmeter scripts
    • Parse XML data as needed
    • Configure Jmeter instances
    • Coordinate and conduct performance testing using Jmeter and occasionally using SOASTA
    • Report test results via dashboard and via brief online highlight reports
    • Provide suggestions for developers to improve performance
    • Understand and be able to apply industry best practices as well as industry standard measurements and KPIs for performance testing
    • Coordinate and communicate directly with stakeholders, including developers, system admins, product owners, and senior executives
    • Document work in JIRA tickets with clear statuses showing progress, next steps, and any blockers
    • Escalate and communicate blockers appropriately
    • Provide clear technical alternatives with pros and cons when the situation calls for flexibility

    Desired Skills/Qualifications
    • Very strong agile experience
    • Experience working independently and utilizing judgement on behalf of the project and client
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
