Security Control Assessor

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Security Control Assessor to conduct security compliance assessments against the most current NIST 800-53 controls sets to evaluate the security posture of our federal food safety client’s programs, infrastructure and major applications.

     
    Major Areas of Responsibility

     
    • Provide independent A&A documentation review for SSP (System Security Plans), PIA (Privacy Impact Assessment), CP (Contingency Plans), Risk Assessments, and department and agency-level policies and procedures
    • Facilitate Security Assessment Kick-off meetings
    • Facilitate demonstrations and interviews working with system owners and key stakeholders
    • Assess and document security control findings into a Security Assessment Report (SAR)
     

    Requirements

     
    • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance
    • 1 - 3 years of experience conducting security control assessment of NIST 800-53 controls
    • Thorough knowledge of NIST RMF (Risk Management Framework)
    • Technical understanding of network diagrams, vulnerability and compliance scans
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Bachelor’s Degree or 1 - 3 years of government contracting A&A experience
     
     
    Desired Skills

     
    • Familiarity with CSAM tool (Cyber Security Assessment and Management)
    • CAP or CISSP certification
