Data Security Specialist

    CVP is seeking a highly talented Data Security Specialist to plan, coordinate, and implement our federal healthcare client’s information security for their infrastructure.
     
    Major Areas of Responsibility

     
    • Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure
    • Define future programs, design and implementation of fire-wall and other related security issues on LANs/WANs
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of several of the following areas:
      • Understanding of business security practices and procedures
      • Knowledge of current security tools available
      • Hardware/software firewalls and their implementation
      • Different communication protocols
      • Encryption techniques/tools
      • Familiarity with commercial products (ex. - Domain Name Systems, public key encryption technology, Smartcard, Cyberguard, TimeStep)
      • Current Internet and electronic commerce technology
     

    Requirements
     
    • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance
    • 2 - 5 years of technical experience with data security
    • Clear and concise communication skills
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • CAP, Security+, or CISSP Associate certification desired
